About Us
A charitable 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2020 to support the DeKalb Animal Shelter and the humane treatment of animals through fundraising, education and advocacy. Our goal is to raise funds to help cover the cost of spaying and neutering, to assist with medical bills, and medications. The funds we raise go directly to the care of animals in our community.

We help get pets adopted at DeKalb Animal Shelter by subsidizing the cost of spay and neuter, passing the reduced rate of adoption on to the new owners. Most of our members are also physically present at the shelter, helping in any way they can. We help clean everyone up for the day. We spend lots of time socializing and interacting with the shelter pets. This is a crucial step; pets at the shelter are subject to increased stress. That's where a long walk or some much needed play time helps them to relax and unwind. The mental health of the pets at the shelter is always on our minds.

One Friday each month we host a Pet Food Pantry. We hand out free pet food for anyone in DeKalb County in need. Times are tough and we understand that. The best homes for pets are the ones they are already in. If we can assist keeping them at home, its a win! Details about our Pet Food Pantry can be found on our Events page.

We have recently begun a feral cat Trap and Release program. Each cat we can spay or neuter helps reduce the continuing overpopulation problem. One pair of unaltered cats can be responsible for 67 additional cats within 2 years!

We will add programs and events as we grow!
